HER SPORTS AWARDS purpose is to acknowledge the accomplishments of local female athletes and coaches in Charlottesville and surrounding counties through community nominations and voting. This is important to help spread the mission of HER SPORTS in hopes of breaking the gender stereotypes and increasing overall support and engagement that will inspire girls and women to be active through sport participation. HER SPORTS will also take this day to thank individuals and organizations who have been striving for equal representation of women and girls in sports. The following categories:

Female Assistant Coach of the Year, Female Coach of the Year, H.U.S.T.L.E. Award, Male Supporter Award, Rising Star Award, Team Choice of the Year, The Breaking Barriers.

Player of the Year Awards for: Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball & Wrestling.

Her Sports Award

Since 2020, HER SPORTS has engaged over 400 girls through clinics, leagues, workshops, and mentorship, creating safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces across Central Virginia. This year’s community-driven awards drew in more than 6,500 votes, reflecting powerful support from Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Orange, Madison, Waynesboro, and beyond.

The evening will also feature:

  • The debut of the Tunnel Walk Fit, a runway-style moment bold fashion statements blending sporty and classy vibes
